Most models are equipped with a special cutout in the cutting edge, the so-called integrated bone breaker. As the name suggests, it makes it easier to break solid bones. Some poultry shears also have a serrated cutting edge: This prevents slipping when cutting. Poultry shears are robust and designed to ensure optimal power transfer from the handles to the cutting edge. The curved blade shape makes handling easier, and a clasp ensures safe storage of the scissors. WMF poultry shears are available with black plastic handles or made entirely of stainless steel.
