If you mix your cocktail yourself, you want to serve it in the appropriate style in a tall glass and with a cocktail spoon. The long-handled spoon stirs mixed drinks, spoons small pieces of fruit out of the glass and also reaches the bottom of tall ice cream and yoghurt cups.
