About felting:
A distinction is made between wet and dry felting. What both have in common is that unspun wool fibers combine with a lot of patience to form a dense fabric.
When wet felting, you wet the laid out wool fibers with hot, soapy water and ensure delicate movement. The rubbing technique involves massaging the wool very gently. With the rolling technique, for example, the wool is laid out on a bamboo stick, sprinkled with hot soapy water and rolled up. The roll is rolled back and forth like this. After some time of processing, the wool fibers connected and a fabric was created. This is condensed through further processing.
