Silit from Riedlingen is part of the WMF Group. From the first cooking pot in 1920 to today: The distinctive products impress with their high level of utility and exceptional aesthetics - inspired by the spirit of the times and designed for a long service life.
As early as 1927, Silit developed the Sicomatic® pressure cooker, a world first that revolutionized the world of cooking. For the first time, it became possible to use high pressure to significantly shorten cooking times. Since then, this technology has been further developed, up to the current generation with an innovative one-handed slider. Silit also represents another special feature in the history of cookware: in 1989 we invented the globally unique functional ceramic Silargan®. Pots and pans made of Silargan® have an ultra-smooth, non-porous surface that allows for 100 percent taste-free cooking as well as being almost indestructible and very easy to clean.
