The Shun Classic White series with its seven selected blade shapes and light ash-colored handle is now an integral part of the Shun Classic series. The version with a light handle also combines centuries-old Japanese samurai blacksmithing with modern and technically sophisticated manufacturing processes. The result is chef's knives that have been refined down to the smallest detail and consistently designed for consistent sharpness - ideal for professional use

blade

The core of the blade, ground on both sides, is made of VG MAX steel with a hardness of 61 (±1) HRC and is covered in 32 layers of Damascus steel. This combination ensures the blade has long-lasting sharpness and edge retention.

Handle

In contrast to the dark handle of the Shun Classic series, the handle in the Japanese chestnut shape is made of ash-colored pakka wood, which is particularly moisture-resistant thanks to the treatment with high-quality resins.
