The side wall of a springform pan can be loosened using a clamping lever: the ring opens and you can remove the bottom of the pan and clamp it again. With a flat base, cakes and tart bases can be made in the springform pan. In contrast to other baking pans, the finished cake is not turned out of the springform pan. Instead, loosen the clamping lever - the cake comes off on its own thanks to the non-stick coating - and lift the ring upwards. Since the lower support plate is slightly larger than the ring, spring baking molds are absolutely leak-proof. They come in different sizes and shapes, for example round, square or heart-shaped.
