No pastry chef can do without a cake tuner: The cake ring is a sheet metal strip made of stainless steel that is approximately one meter long and nine centimeters wide and can be adjusted to different diameters using two clamps to form a ring. It is not used for baking, but is only used for layering and filling cakes and tarts. Here's how it works: Place the cake ring around the baked base and secure it with two handles. Then spread the cake icing, cream, fruit and cream evenly over the cake base without letting anything run down the edge. After the filling has cooled, the cake ring can easily be removed.
